Tournament Dates and Host Country
The Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, organized by the International Cricket Council (ICC), will be hosted in England from June 12 to July 5. The final match will take place at Lord’s Cricket Ground, one of the most iconic cricket venues in the world, on July 5. This edition promises to be a celebration of women’s cricket, uniting top nations in a festival of sport, skill, and international cricket spirit.

The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 fixtures will be played across seven prestigious stadiums in England:

The 12 participating teams will be split into two groups of six, followed by semifinals and the grand final. Defending champions New Zealand Women’s Cricket Team will look to retain their title after defeating South Africa in the 2024 edition.

Jay Shah’s Statement on Tournament Vision
Speaking about the event, ICC Chairman Jay Shah said:
“The confirmation of the venues is an important milestone in the preparations for this historic tournament. The Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 will not only bring together the world’s best players but also celebrate sportsmanship, diversity, and growth of women’s cricket globally.”
He added that this tournament will act as a launchpad for cricket’s return to the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.
India’s Women Cricket Team Eyes Maiden Title
Although India’s women’s team has reached the final of the Women’s T20 World Cup in the past (notably in 2020 against Australia), they are yet to lift the trophy. With team jersey sales rising and fans booking cricket tour packages to England, the excitement is building.
