Mitchell Starc

Last month, due to tension on the border between India and Pakistan, IPL 2025 had to be stopped midway for a few days. Due to this, the foreign players participating for different teams in the tournament were sent back home.

But after this, when the situation between the two countries became normal, the tournament started again, but experienced Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc, who played for Delhi Capitals, did not return. So, now he has made a big disclosure about his decision, explaining why he could not play the last remaining IPL.

Mitchell Starc made a big revelation

Let us tell you that recently Mitchell Starc was quoted by The Age as saying –

𝑰 𝒂𝒎 𝒔𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒔𝒇𝒊𝒆𝒅 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒎𝒚 𝒅𝒆𝒄𝒊𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒂𝒍𝒔𝒐 𝒔𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒔𝒇𝒊𝒆𝒅 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝑰 𝒇𝒆𝒍𝒕 𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒉𝒐𝒍𝒆 𝒔𝒊𝒕𝒖𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒂𝒚 𝒊𝒕 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒍𝒆𝒅. 𝑺𝒐, 𝑰 𝒎𝒂𝒅𝒆 𝒎𝒚 𝒅𝒆𝒄𝒊𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒂𝒇𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒎𝒚 𝒇𝒐𝒄𝒖𝒔 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒐𝒏 𝒓𝒆𝒅 𝒃𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒄𝒓𝒊𝒄𝒌𝒆𝒕 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒂 𝒘𝒆𝒆𝒌 𝒃𝒆𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 (𝑼𝑲). 𝑶𝒏𝒍𝒚 𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒕𝒆𝒍𝒍 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒖𝒍𝒕𝒔 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒃𝒆 𝒐𝒓 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒉𝒂𝒑𝒑𝒆𝒏𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒔𝒆 𝒘𝒉𝒐 𝒅𝒊𝒅 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒓𝒆𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒏.

Starc further said-

𝑩𝒖𝒕 𝑰 𝒉𝒂𝒅 𝒔𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝒒𝒖𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒄𝒆𝒓𝒏𝒔 𝒃𝒆𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒄𝒉 (𝑫𝒆𝒍𝒉𝒊 𝒗𝒔 𝑷𝒖𝒏𝒋𝒂𝒃), 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒐𝒃𝒗𝒊𝒐𝒖𝒔𝒍𝒚, 𝒘𝒆 𝒔𝒂𝒘 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒉𝒂𝒑𝒑𝒆𝒏𝒆𝒅, 𝒘𝒉𝒊𝒄𝒉 𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒚𝒆𝒅 𝒂 𝒃𝒊𝒈 𝒓𝒐𝒍𝒆 𝒊𝒏 𝒎𝒚 𝒅𝒆𝒄𝒊𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏. 𝑰𝒕 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒂 𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒎𝒚 𝒅𝒆𝒄𝒊𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒅𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒎𝒑𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔 𝑻𝒓𝒐𝒑𝒉𝒚 (𝒊𝒏 𝑷𝒂𝒌𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒏), 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆,𝒏 𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑰𝑷𝑳 𝒕𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒏𝒂𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒈𝒐𝒕 𝒅𝒆𝒍𝒂𝒚𝒆𝒅, 𝑰 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒑𝒓𝒆𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒚𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑻𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒄𝒉. 𝑺𝒐, 𝑰 𝒅𝒆𝒄𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒅 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒈𝒐 𝒃𝒂𝒄𝒌 𝒕𝒐 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒕𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒏𝒂𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕.

From this statement given by Starc, you can guess that he did not come to India to play the remaining IPL 2025 due to security reasons. So, Delhi Capitals also missed him in the remaining two matches.

The Capitals lost their decider against the Mumbai Indians by 59 runs and were eliminated from the tournament. In IPL 2025, Delhi won 7 out of the 14 matches played and finished the tournament in 5th place with 15 points.
