Pakistan cricketer Haider Ali has been cleared of all allegations by the Greater Manchester Police (GMP) in the UK. The 24-year-old was arrested last month on suspicion of rape but has now been freed of all charges, allowing him to return to Pakistan.

PCB Awaiting Haider’s Return
Haider, who was part of Pakistan Shaheens’ UK tour, was arrested during a match in Beckenham on August 3. The alleged incident reportedly took place in Manchester on July 23. At the time, he was released on bail, while the alleged victim was offered support by the authorities.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has acknowledged the charges being dropped but has not yet decided if further action will be taken under its Code of Conduct.

Haider Ali’s Career So Far
Haider has represented Pakistan in 2 ODIs and 35 T20Is. He rose to prominence in the PSL 2020 with Peshawar Zalmi, scoring 239 runs at a strike rate of 157.23. His explosive batting style earned him a national call-up the same year, where he scored a 33-ball 54 on debut against England in Manchester.
While inconsistency has affected his international career, Haider remains seen as a promising talent whose aggressive approach suits Pakistan’s evolving T20 strategy.
