Coca-Cola is set to bring football’s most treasured prize to Bangladesh ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. As part of the FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola, the iconic golden trophy will arrive in Dhaka on January 14, giving local fans a rare chance to see the original World Cup trophy from up close.

World Cup Trophy Tour Reaches Dhaka

The arrival of the trophy marks a major moment for football lovers in Bangladesh, as the country becomes part of a global celebration of the beautiful game. Coca-Cola says the tour is designed to connect fans emotionally with football and the legacy of the World Cup.

He added that the initiative is meant to capture the excitement, passion, and anticipation that football generates across nations.

Global Celebration Ahead of World Cup 2026

As part of the worldwide tour, the FIFA World Cup Trophy will travel across 30 FIFA member nations, visiting 75 locations over roughly 150 days. The 2026 edition of the tournament will be the biggest ever, jointly hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada, with a record number of teams and matches.

FIFA’s Chief Business Officer Romy Gai highlighted the significance of the tour, noting that it also marks 20 years of the FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola.

Over the past two decades, the trophy has already visited 182 of FIFA’s 211 member countries, underlining the global reach of the tour.

Fan Engagement and Sustainability Initiatives

To enhance fan participation in Bangladesh, Coca-Cola has launched the interactive ‘Under the Cap’ campaign. Fans can buy a 1-liter promotional Coca-Cola bottle, scan the QR code, submit the unique code under the cap, and answer a World Cup-themed quiz. Winners will receive tickets to view the trophy and take photos with it. The campaign runs from November 15, 2025, to January 8, 2026.

The tour also promotes sustainability, with eco-friendly initiatives such as packaging collection and recycling activities being implemented in each host country.

Coca-Cola has been associated with FIFA since 1976 and has served as an official FIFA World Cup sponsor since 1978, holding exclusive rights to organize the Trophy Tour, which brings one of sport’s greatest symbols closer to fans around the world.
