West Indies have announced a 15-member squad for their upcoming three-match T20I series against Nepal in Sharjah later this month. With several senior players, including regular skipper Shai Hope, given rest, the team will be led by left-arm spinner Akeal Hosein, marking his first stint as captain across formats.
Fresh Faces in the Squad
The squad features five uncapped players:
- Ackeem Auguste (top-order batter)
- Navin Bidaisee (batting allrounder)
- Zishan Motara (legspinner)
- Ramon Simmonds (left-arm pacer)
- Amir Jangoo (wicketkeeper-batter)
Additionally, USA international Karima Gore, who played eight T20Is for the USA but is yet to represent West Indies, has earned a call-up after impressing in the CPL 2025 with 219 runs in 11 matches for Antigua and Barbuda Falcons.

Experience Around Hosein
The squad is balanced with experience, including allrounders Jason Holder, Fabian Allen, and Kyle Mayers. Hosein, the most capped T20I player in the squad, will be taking charge as captain for the first time.
In April 2024, West Indies A toured Nepal for a five-match T20 series. Despite Nepal losing the series, they secured two memorable victories, showing their growing potential in the shortest format.
