Orcas Collapse Chasing Modest Total of 154
Texas Super Kings (TSK) continued their unbeaten run in the MLC 2025 with a commanding 93-run victory over Seattle Orcas, who were bowled out for just 60 runs on a tricky pitch in Oakland. Chasing a manageable 154, Orcas crumbled to 21 for 5 within five overs and were dismissed in just 13.5 overs.

Bowlers Shine as Orcas Batting Falters
The Orcas’ top order offered little resistance. Kyle Mayers fell to Nandre Burger, while David Warner was dismissed by a sharp diving catch from du Plessis off Zia-ul-Haq. The collapse deepened when Zia clean-bowled Heinrich Klaasen for a duck and dismissed Sikandar Raza shortly after.

Spinner Noor Ahmad, fresh from a successful IPL stint, struck twice in one over, trapping Sujit Nayak and Harmeet Singh lbw. He narrowly missed a hat-trick but wrapped up with figures of 3 for 18. Burger and Zia also starred with 3 for 10 and 3 for 16 respectively.
TSK Post Competitive Total Despite Mid-Innings Wobble
Earlier, TSK chose to bat first but struggled early on. After a cautious start by Faf du Plessis and Devon Conway, both openers fell in the same over. Saiteja Mukkamalla helped lift the scoring rate, while Marcus Stoinis smashed 28 off just 12 balls, including four sixes.

Although Orcas clawed back with a few middle-order wickets, Milind Kumar and Shubham Ranjane closed the innings strongly, adding an unbeaten 31 runs off 15 balls to push TSK to a solid 153 for 6, which proved more than enough.
