Tottenham head coach Thomas Frank insists the club remains fully united at board level, even as frustration grows among supporters over a run of poor results. Spurs were jeered by sections of the home crowd after a 1-1 draw with Sunderland and have managed just two wins in their last 11 Premier League matches.
With recent managerial upheaval at rivals Chelsea and Manchester United — where Enzo Maresca and Ruben Amorim both departed following internal disagreements — Frank was keen to stress that no such tensions exist at Tottenham.
“The biggest thing is that we are completely aligned with the ownership,” Frank said. “There’s a strong understanding of the journey we’re on.”
Frank Praises Leadership and Communication at Spurs
Frank reserved particular praise for chief executive Vinai Venkatesham, highlighting his calm approach and clarity in decision-making.
“Vinai is one of the best communicators I’ve ever met,” Frank explained. “He’s calm, takes sensible decisions, and those are rare qualities in football. He understands the long-term process.”
Despite being unbeaten in their last three league outings, Tottenham’s struggles in attack remain a concern. The North London side sit 13th in the table and have failed to score from open play since early December, adding to the pressure ahead of Wednesday’s trip to Bournemouth.
Speculation has also surrounded sporting director Fabio Paratici, who has been linked with a return to Italy. However, Frank dismissed suggestions of instability behind the scenes.
“We’re paying his wages and he’s working very hard,” Frank said. “I spoke to him on the morning of the Sunderland game — everything is normal.”
As scrutiny increases from the stands, Frank’s message is clear: while results must improve, Tottenham’s leadership remains aligned and committed to their long-term vision.
