Zimbabwe have recalled Brendan Taylor and Sean Williams to their T20I squad for the upcoming series against Sri Lanka, marking big comebacks for both veterans.
Brendan Taylor Back After Ban
Taylor, the experienced wicketkeeper-batter, last played a T20I in April 2021. He returned to international cricket earlier this year after serving a three-and-a-half-year ICC ban for failing to report a corrupt approach. He has already featured in Tests and ODIs since his comeback.

Williams Strengthens the Middle Order
Sean Williams also rejoins the side, having last played a T20I in May 2024. His inclusion is crucial ahead of the Africa regional qualifiers for the 2026 T20 World Cup, where Zimbabwe will compete for two available spots.
Zimbabwe missed out on the 2024 T20 World Cup, failing to finish among the top two in their regional qualifiers after defeats to Namibia and Uganda.

Apart from Taylor and Williams, Brad Evans and Tadiwanashe Marumani have also been recalled, while Newman Nyamhuri, Wessly Madhevere, Vincent Masekesa and Tafadzwa Tsiga miss out.
