Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are now just two victories away from claiming their long-awaited maiden IPL title. After 18 years of highs and heartbreaks, including their memorable run to the final in 2016 powered by Virat Kohli’s iconic 973-run season, RCB are hoping 2025 is finally their year.
Shane Watson Believes It’s RCB’s Time
Former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) star and IPL champion Shane Watson has boldly predicted that RCB will lift the IPL 2025 trophy. Watson, who shared his thoughts on social media, didn’t just back RCB — he went a step further and named Virat Kohli as the likely Player of the Match in the final.

RCB’s journey has been a rollercoaster, filled with near-misses and disappointment. Despite making the playoffs multiple times, they have never clinched the title. But Watson believes the stars are aligning in 2025. The addition of Hazlewood strengthens their bowling attack at a crucial time, while Kohli’s form remains central to their success.

RCB fans, long starved of IPL silverware, will be hoping Watson’s prediction finally brings an end to the franchise’s title drought.
