At the presidential palace, President Basirou Dioumaye Faye honored the team for their historic success. Each player, including star forward Sadio Mane, received a bonus of 75 million CFA francs (approx. β¬115,000) and a 1,500-square-meter plot of land in an upscale Dakar suburb.

Senegal secured the trophy with a 1-0 win over host nation Morocco in Rabat last Sunday. The match was tightly contested and featured controversy, but Senegalβs lone goal in extra time ensured their triumph.
