Scheffler

World number one Scottie Scheffler is feeling confident about his game as he prepares to defend his Masters title next month. After a slow start to the season, he believes he is getting back to his best form.

Unlike last year, when he had already won the Arnold Palmer Invitational and the Players Championship by this time, Scheffler has yet to win a tournament in 2025. His title defense at the Players Championship didn’t go as planned, finishing tied for 20th. His season was also delayed due to an unusual injury—he cut his hand on a broken wine glass while making ravioli during Christmas.

Scheffler admitted that the injury set him back, as it affected his right hand, which is crucial for his golf swing. However, he is recovering well and feels his game is improving every day.

Despite not winning yet, he has had two top-10 finishes in five events, showing solid performances. As the Masters approaches on April 10, Scheffler remains positive about his progress and believes he is close to playing at his best again.

“My results this year have been decent,” he said. “I feel like I’m really close to playing some great golf. I’ve got a good week of practice ahead, and we learned a lot from last week at Sawgrass.”

With his form improving, Scheffler is looking forward to the challenge of winning back-to-back Masters titles.
