Punjab Kings suffered a crushing defeat against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the first qualifier of IPL 2025. RCB bowlers first bundled out Punjab for just 101 runs. After this, the target was achieved in the 15th over by losing two wickets. Seeing Punjab’s batting, no one could believe that this is the same team that had displayed amazing batting during the league stage.
Punjab Kings Collapse in Qualifier 1 Against Dominant RCB
Captain Shreyas Iyer once again flopped against RCB. He has been able to score only 15 runs in three innings against RCB in IPL 2025. During this, his average is only 5. Now, former Punjab coach Tom Moody has given a big reaction to his batting. Moody was the coach of the Punjab-based franchise from 2008 to 2010.
He did not understand the situation of the game

He further said,

After defeating Punjab in Qualifier-1, RCB has reached the final directly. Now, PBKS will face the winner of the Eliminator in Qualifier-2 in Ahmedabad on Sunday, June 1. After the crushing defeat against RCB on Thursday, Punjab Kings would like to perform better and make it to the final.
