A total of 8 more matches are to be played in PSL 2025, including the playoffs and league stage.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to hold the remaining matches of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 outside the country. The PCB has decided to shift the PSL from Pakistan to Dubai. 8 matches of the 10th season of PSL are still left, which includes four playoff matches and four league matches.

The PCB has decided to shift the tournament to the UAE amid the military confrontation between India and Pakistan. The PCB cited undesirable circumstances for the decision, including cross-border drone attacks and artillery exchanges, which have raised concerns about the safety of players, staff and fans.

The Pakistan Cricket Board held an emergency meeting in Islamabad on Thursday, in which PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi held a meeting with foreign players. The foreign players said that they want to leave Pakistan as soon as possible. They no longer want to play any match there.

PCB President Mohsin Naqvi gave a big statement

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi said in a statement that the decision has been taken to ensure the mental well-being of all the players participating in the league. He said,

“As in the past, we hope that our stakeholders will unite with us to pursue the best interests of the tournament, our players and fans.”

An official statement has also come from the Pakistan Cricket Board on shifting the PSL. Meanwhile, the IPL 2025 match was also stopped due to blackout on Thursday night.

The match scheduled to be played in Rawalpindi on May 8 had to be postponed after drone attacks were reported on the stadium. According to top intelligence sources, the decision was taken after India launched drone attacks on Pakistan on Thursday, one of which hit the Rawalpindi cricket stadium.
