Barcelona, Manchester City, and Bayern Munich all recorded dominant 3-goal victories in their respective leagues, while French powerhouse PSG suffered a shock defeat at home to Monaco. Paul Pogba made his debut for Monaco in the 1-0 win over PSG, marking a memorable start for the midfielder. Meanwhile, Barcelona beat Alaves 3-1, Manchester City edged Leeds United 3-2, and Bayern secured a 3-1 win against St. Pauli.

Barcelona Bounces Back in La Liga

Barcelona entered the Camp Nou clash with lingering disappointment after their recent loss to Chelsea in the Champions League. Falling behind in the first minute, the Catalans quickly responded. Lamine Yamal equalized in the 8th minute, followed by Dani Olmo, who scored twice, including in added time, to secure a 3-1 victory. Barca controlled possession with 70% and fired 15 shots on target.

“Despite conceding early, our team showed character and determination to turn the game around,” said Hansi Flick after the match. Rafinha, although not scoring, earned the man of the match with two assists and excellent overall play. This win moved Barcelona to the top of La Liga with 34 points from 14 matches.

Manchester City and Bayern Keep Winning

Manchester City faced Leeds United after two challenging matches in three days. Phil Foden opened the scoring in the first minute, and Yosho Gvardiel doubled the lead in the 25th minute. Leeds fought back with goals from Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Lucas N’Metra, but Foden’s added-time strike sealed a 3-2 win for City.

“𝑾𝒆 𝒌𝒏𝒆𝒘 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒄𝒉 𝒘𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅𝒏’𝒕 𝒃𝒆 𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒚, 𝒃𝒖𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒚𝒆𝒓𝒔’ 𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒎𝒂𝒅𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒅𝒊𝒇𝒇𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆.”

Pep Guardiola commented. City climbed to second place with 25 points from 13 matches, trailing Arsenal by four points.

Bayern Munich also overcame an early setback, conceding in the 6th minute to St. Pauli. Rafael Guerreiro equalized, and late goals from Luis Diaz and Nicholas Jackson secured a 3-1 victory. Bayern remain at the top of the Bundesliga with 34 points from 12 games.

PSG Stumble Against Monaco

PSG were expected to dominate at home but fell to a 1-0 loss against Monaco, courtesy of Takumi Minamino’s strike in the 68th minute. Despite a red card reducing Monaco to 10 men, PSG could not capitalize.

“It’s disappointing, but we must regroup and focus on the upcoming matches,” said PSG manager. Despite the setback, PSG remain leaders of Ligue 1 with 30 points, just ahead of Olympique Marseille.

This night highlighted the continued strength of European football’s top sides while PSG’s stumble underlines the unpredictability of the league.
