ICC Announces Neutral Venue Agreement for Pakistan

In a significant development ahead of the Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has confirmed that they will play their matches in Sri Lanka, not in the host nation India. This decision aligns with the ICC’s neutral venue policy, introduced after India declined to travel to Pakistan for the men’s Champions Trophy earlier this year.

Colombo to Host Pakistan’s Group Matches

According to the official ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 schedule, Colombo will serve as Pakistan’s base for their seven group stage games. Alongside Colombo, Indian cities including Bengaluru, Guwahati, Indore, and Visakhapatnam will host the remaining fixtures from September 30 to November 2.

If they reach the knockout stage, the first semi-final will be held in either Guwahati or Colombo on October 29. The second semi-final is set for Bengaluru on October 30, while the final will take place on November 2 in Bengaluru or Colombo, depending on their progress.
