Sunrisers Hyderabad’s young player Abhishek Sharma is making a lot of headlines after playing a record-breaking innings in the match against Punjab Kings. He has become the third batsman to play the biggest innings in the history of IPL. He played a brilliant innings of 141 runs with the help of 14 fours and 10 sixes in 55 balls and helped his team reach the target of 246 runs in 18.3 overs.
Abhishek revealed after the match that he was suffering from fever for the last four days but former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh, who is his mentor, and Indian T20 captain Suryakumar Yadav constantly encouraged him.

After the match against Punjab Kings, Abhishek said in the post match press conference,
“Honestly, I was sick for four days – I had a fever. But I am really grateful to have people like Yuvraj Singh and Suryakumar Yadav with me. They kept calling, asking about my well-being and they believed in me. Even when I started doubting myself a bit, they didn’t. That belief from people like them means a lot. When someone like that believes in you, you start believing in yourself again. For me, it was just about that one innings. I was waiting for it. And today it came,”
Abhishek Sharma was seen struggling with form since the beginning of the current season, he scored only 51 runs in the first five matches. But he came out against Punjab Kings with a determined mind that he would play a big innings and it happened. After scoring a century, he took out a slip from his pocket, which read, ‘This is for the Orange Army.’
