Team India and Sunrisers Hyderabad’s rising all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy has found himself entangled in a legal mess after being sued for ₹5 crore by his former management agency, Square The One Pvt Ltd. The matter has been referred to the Delhi High Court, with the next hearing scheduled for July 28.
Breach of Contract Allegations Surface
According to reports, the agency has filed a petition under Section 11(6) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, accusing Reddy of violating the terms of their management agreement and failing to clear outstanding dues. The agency claims it has represented Reddy since 2021, before his breakthrough in the Indian Premier League (IPL), helping him secure several endorsement deals and commercial partnerships.
India Today quoted a source saying,

Injury Woes Compound Reddy’s Troubles
The legal dispute comes at a tough time for the 23-year-old cricketer, who has been ruled out of the ongoing Test series against England due to a knee injury sustained during a gym session in Beckenham. Although he was part of the squad for the first three Tests, Reddy did not feature in the playing XI and has since returned home for rehabilitation.
He is expected to undergo recovery at the BCCI’s Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru.

As the legal proceedings continue, the outcome could potentially affect Reddy’s career trajectory and future sponsorships.
