Metric Gaming, a European sportsbook provider, has teamed up with Racing and Sports (R&S) to improve its horse and greyhound racing services.
By using R&S’ advanced racing data, Metric aims to enhance its offerings in the UK and Ireland, where horse racing remains a popular betting sport despite challenges in recent years.
Metric has already introduced the new racing product through Betzone, a UK-based operator that entered the market in 2021.

Horse racing continues to be a major sport in these regions, though it faced difficulties during the COVID-19 pandemic and still struggles with attendance. However, key events like the Cheltenham Festival keep the sport relevant and boost its popularity.
Speaking to SBC News, UK bookmakers expressed optimism that major races like Cheltenham will remain crucial for the betting industry.
