Global football icon Lionel Messi is set to visit India in December 2025 for a series of football workshops scheduled across three major cities — Mumbai, Kolkata, and Thiruvananthapuram. These sessions will be conducted at iconic venues including Wankhede Stadium, Eden Gardens, and Greenfield International Stadium.

Following the workshops, organizers are planning a special exhibition cricket match featuring Messi alongside some of India’s most celebrated cricketers. The match is expected to be held at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium.

‘GOAT Cup’ May See Messi Team Up With Dhoni, Kohli & Sachin

If plans fall into place, Messi will take part in a unique seven-a-side cricket match alongside MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli. Discussions are also underway to include cricket legends Sachin Tendulkar and Rohit Sharma in what is being dubbed as the ‘GOAT Cup.’

According to a report by the Indian Express, preparations for the event are already in motion, with organizers approaching the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) to facilitate the cricket fixture.
