Under the initiative of the ‘Manchester United Muslim Supporters Club’, a special prayer room has been opened at the club’s home ground, the historic Old Trafford Stadium.
This room is currently being opened as a multi-faith room or prayer room for many faiths. Where Muslims, as well as followers of other religions, can pray their own prayers if they want. 20 spectators can pray here at the same time. Although initially all kinds of arrangements have been made for Muslims to pray there.
This room will be opened half an hour before the start of the Manchester United match. It will be open until half an hour after the match ends. This special prayer room has been opened in a small area between the Stretford End and the Sir Alex Ferguson Stand.
In the meantime, this small room has been decorated with prayer mats. This special prayer room will be opened from the next Manchester United match. Such an initiative of the club has also brought additional excitement among the Muslim community in the UK.
