Now there will be a battle between Mumbai Indians, Lucknow Super Giants and Delhi Capitals for the last spot left in the top-4. MI is in fourth place with 7 wins and 14 points in 12 matches. While DC is in fifth place with 13 points and LSG is in seventh place with 12 points. Let us tell you what these three teams will have to do to secure a place in the playoffs.

How MI, DC and LSG can reach the playoffs of IPL 2025

Mumbai Indians playoff equation-

If Hardik Pandya‘s side wins their remaining two league matches against DC and PBKS, MI will qualify for the IPL 2025 playoffs. If MI loses one match and wins one, they will have to hope that DC and LSG also lose one of their remaining league matches. In such a scenario, MI will have 16 points, DC 15 points and LSG 14 points. On the other hand, if MI loses both their remaining matches, they will not be able to qualify, no matter how the other two teams perform.

Delhi Capitals playoff equation-

Delhi Capitals will qualify for the playoffs if they win both their remaining league matches. If DC wins one and loses one, they will have to hope that MI loses both their remaining matches and LSG also loses one of their remaining three matches. In such a scenario, DC will finish fourth with 15 points.

Playoff equation of Lucknow Super Giants-

LSG will qualify for the IPL 2025 playoffs if Rishabh Pant’s side wins their remaining three league matches. DC beats MI on May 21 and Punjab Kings beat both DC (on May 24) and MI (on May 26). If this happens, LSG will finish fourth with 16 points, followed by DC with 15 points and MI with 14 points. If LSG loses even one of their remaining matches, they will be eliminated.
