Chennai Super Kings will not be participating in the 2025 IPL playoffs. The team has won only two out of 11 matches. After regular captain Rituraj Gaikwad was sidelined by injury, MS Dhoni assumed leadership. However, Dhoni’s leadership was unable to improve the team’s performance. CSK is going to face Kolkata Knight Riders on Wednesday, May 7. Before this match, good news is not coming from Chennai’s camp.

MS Dhoni missed practice sessions for two consecutive days, the reason behind which is being said to be his fitness. However, Chennai Super Kings bowling coach Eric Simons denied all the rumours and said that Dhoni will captain the team in the match against KKR.

He knows his position very well- MS Dhoni

Before the match against Kolkata Knight Riders, Eric Simons told News18 reports that Dhoni always does a lot in the beginning of the tournament and then slows himself down. He insisted that there is no problem and he will play all the matches.

“Yes, he is expected to play tomorrow. He knows his position very well. He knows where he is. In terms of his preparations, he always works very hard at the start of a tournament and then slows himself down as he gets himself to a place where he is ready. So there is no problem, he just knows when he is ready and when he is not,”
