Recently, Cricket South Africa had announced that the national team players will have to return home from IPL on May 26 to prepare for the upcoming WTC Final. However, now the South African board has taken a U-turn from its decision. The board said that practice for the upcoming final match against Australia will start from June 3.
Cricket South Africa Revises Decision, WTC Final Preparations to Begin After IPL 2025 Finale
The Board of Control for Cricket in India confirmed on May 12 that IPL 2025 is resuming from May 17 and its final match will be played on June 3. The final match of the World Test Championship between South Africa and Australia is starting from June 11 at Lord’s. Cricket South Africa had earlier said that they have told the BCCI that all the players will return home on May 26. However, now Cricket South Africa itself has changed this date.
CSA’s Director of National Team and High Performance Enoch Nkwe said,
