The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed on Thursday, May 15, that it has received government clearance to proceed with its much-anticipated Pakistan tour 2025. This decision follows a green light from the highest authority in the country, paving the way for a five-match T20I series against the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) side.

A BCB official said

“𝙒𝙚 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙜𝙤𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙨𝙞𝙜𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙜𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙤𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙡𝙚𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙞𝙨 𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙖𝙬𝙖𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙙, 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙙𝙚𝙘𝙞𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙞𝙣 𝙥𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙞𝙥𝙡𝙚 𝙝𝙖𝙨 𝙗𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙢𝙖𝙙𝙚.”

Revised Itinerary and Match Venues Announced

The Pakistan Cricket Board had earlier sent a revised tour schedule on May 13, following the adjustment of the PSL 2025 final due to cross-border tensions. As per the updated itinerary, the series will begin on May 27, with the final match scheduled for June 5.

Venue Breakdown

  • Faisalabad T20I matches: May 27, 29, and June 1Lahore T20I matches: June 3 and 5
  • This change was necessary because the PSL final will take place on May 25, and the tour had to accommodate that schedule.

Player Participation and Security Concerns

The BCB emphasized that once the official letter arrives, they will consult players, especially since some have voiced security concerns. The board assured,

Bangladesh’s Upcoming Fixtures
