The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has officially unveiled a 25-member preliminary squad for the upcoming Asia Cup 2025, which is scheduled to take place in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The announcement was made on Monday, August 4, by the countryβs top cricket authority.
As part of the build-up to the tournament, all selected players have been asked to report to the Shere Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on August 6 for a fitness camp. T20I Series vs Netherlands Planned as Preparation
In preparation for the Asia Cup, Bangladesh is also expected to host a three-match T20I series against the Netherlands, likely to be held between August 26 and September 4 at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. The official schedule has not been confirmed, but this would mark the Netherlandsβ first-ever bilateral T20I series on Bangladeshi soil.
Meanwhile, an originally planned multi-format home series against India, which included three ODIs and three T20Is, has been postponed indefinitely due to escalating political tensions between the two nations. As things stand, a potential meeting between the two teams at the Asia Cup will depend on how far they advance in the tournament.
