Two cricketers of Indian origin, Aryan Sharma and Yash Deshmukh, have been included in Australia’s U19 squad for the upcoming multi-format home series against India U19, starting September 21.
Sharma, a talented batter from Victoria, and Deshmukh, an all-rounder from New South Wales, are among the 15 players picked for the series. Notably, Deshmukh is one of five NSW cricketers in the squad. The team will be coached by former Australia men’s head coach Tim Nielsen, marking his first assignment with the U19 setup.

Series Schedule and Development Goals
The tour begins with three 50-over matches on September 21, 24, and 26 at the Ian Healy Oval in Brisbane. This will be followed by two four-day matches, scheduled from September 30 to October 3 in Brisbane, and from October 7 to 10 in Mackay.
Cricket Australia has designed this series to be a vital part of its long-term player development strategy, aiming to give young cricketers valuable exposure in both white-ball and red-ball formats.
