A video from the game has gone viral, showing Abhishek appearing to make a threatening gesture toward Digvesh following his dismissal.

The incident occurred in the 8th over of SRH’s innings when Digvesh Rathi dismissed Abhishek Sharma, who was attempting a big shot but got caught by Shardul Thakur at deep. After taking the wicket, Digvesh celebrated with his signature “notebook celebration” and signaled Abhishek to head back to the pavilion. This gesture seemed to agitate the SRH opener, who responded with a hand gesture indicating a threat – appearing to mimic grabbing Digvesh by the hair, specifically his long braid.

Social media exploded with reactions as fans speculated that Abhishek Sharma was threatening Digvesh, saying, “I will catch your braid and beat you.” However, things settled post-match.
In the presentation ceremony, Abhishek Sharma clarified the situation, stating, “We spoke after the game and everything is fine now.” The two players were later seen shaking hands and chatting, putting an end to the misunderstanding.
Despite the heated exchange, Abhishek Sharma shined with the bat, scoring a blistering 59 runs off just 20 balls and earning the Man of the Match award. His explosive innings helped SRH cruise to an easy win, while LSG’s hopes of reaching the IPL 2025 playoffs came to an end with this defeat.
