Junction Oval Delay Forces Relocation
The third women’s ODI between Australia and India, originally scheduled for March 1 at Melbourne’s Junction Oval, has been shifted to Hobart. The venue was set to host its first-ever floodlit international, but delays in installing new lights and concerns over spectator access forced Cricket Australia (CA) to move the game.
With the series having just one rest day between matches, switching it to a day fixture wasn’t practical. The MCG was also ruled out due to ongoing renovation works.

Hobart Gets Back-to-Back ODIs
The relocation means Hobart will now host back-to-back ODIs in the series. Junction Oval will still stage WBBL matches for Melbourne Stars and Renegades, but only as daytime fixtures until floodlight works are complete.
The ODI series is part of a multi-format tour, starting with three T20Is and ending with a day-night Test at the WACA in Perth.

Australia’s women will return to home action later than usual this season due to the WPL shift to January and the ODI World Cup in October, leaving a 12-month gap between their home internationals.
