Bumrah, Indiaβs star fast bowler, is on the verge of creating history during the ongoing five-match Test series between England and India. With the fourth Test scheduled to begin on July 23 at Old Trafford, Manchester, Bumrah stands just one wicket away from becoming the first Indian bowler to claim 50 Test wickets on English soil.

Bumrah has been a key performer for Team India in this high-stakes series. Although Bumrah played only the first and third Tests, his impact was tremendous β claiming five wickets in the first and seven in the third Test. His performance helped keep India competitive, even though the team currently trails 1-2 in the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy.

With 49 Test wickets in England already under his belt, Bumrah has surpassed the legendary Kapil Dev, who held the previous record of 48 wickets on English soil. Now, with just one more wicket, he will become the first Indian bowler to take 50 Test wickets in England.

Will Bumrah Play in Manchester?
Despite the milestone within reach, Bumrahβs participation in the Manchester Test is still uncertain. Head coach Gautam Gambhir had earlier stated that Bumrah would feature in only three matches during the series as part of a workload management strategy.
As India looks to level the series, fans are hoping the team management makes an exception and allows Bumrah to play in Manchester β and possibly create history.
