The Indian Roll Ball League (IRBL) has forged an exciting partnership with the West Indies Champions cricket team ahead of the World Championship of Legends (WCL) 2025. This collaboration, announced in a joint statement by IRBL and the West Indies Champions, is set to elevate Roll Ballβan Indian sport born in Pune in 2003βto the world stage.
Roll Ball, which combines elements of basketball, handball, and skating, is now played in more than 60 countries. The IRBL, backed by SportzTank Pvt Ltd, will launch the sport’s first-ever international league later this year.
Celebrating Sporting Heritage and Global Unity
Ajay Sethi, the Dubai-based owner of the West Indies Champions, described the initiative as

The partnership will include fan engagement programs, cultural exchange initiatives, and grassroots efforts designed to connect the sporting communities of India and the Caribbean. The aim is to inspire young athletes and create fresh opportunities for cross-cultural appreciation.
Cricket Icons to Promote Roll Ball Helmets
The WCL 2025, recognized by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), is currently the only Legends T20 league in the world. The tournament will feature legendary names like Yuvraj Singh, Shahid Afridi, and Chris Gayle.
In a unique move, cricket superstars Chris Gayle, Kieron Pollard, and Dwayne Bravo will wear Indian Roll Ball helmets during the championship, showcasing the sport to a global audience.
