West Indies Champions Team Partners with Indian Roll Ball League

Roll Ball Joins WCL: Gayle & Pollard Promote Indian Sport

The Indian Roll Ball League (IRBL) has forged an exciting partnership with the West Indies Champions cricket team ahead of the World Championship of Legends (WCL) 2025. This collaboration, announced in a joint statement by IRBL and the West Indies Champions, is set to elevate Roll Ball—an Indian sport born in Pune in 2003—to the world stage.

Roll Ball, which combines elements of basketball, handball, and skating, is now played in more than 60 countries. The IRBL, backed by SportzTank Pvt Ltd, will launch the sport’s first-ever international league later this year.

Celebrating Sporting Heritage and Global Unity

Ajay Sethi, the Dubai-based owner of the West Indies Champions, described the initiative as

“𝒂 𝒔𝒚𝒎𝒃𝒐𝒍 𝒐𝒇 𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒔𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒔𝒑𝒊𝒓𝒊𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒃𝒓𝒊𝒅𝒈𝒆𝒔 𝒄𝒖𝒍𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆𝒔.”

Meanwhile, IRBL founder Sachin Joshi highlighted that the collaboration “represents a commitment to celebrating India’s rich sporting legacy on a global platform.”

The partnership will include fan engagement programs, cultural exchange initiatives, and grassroots efforts designed to connect the sporting communities of India and the Caribbean. The aim is to inspire young athletes and create fresh opportunities for cross-cultural appreciation.

Cricket Icons to Promote Roll Ball Helmets

The WCL 2025, recognized by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), is currently the only Legends T20 league in the world. The tournament will feature legendary names like Yuvraj Singh, Shahid Afridi, and Chris Gayle.

In a unique move, cricket superstars Chris Gayle, Kieron Pollard, and Dwayne Bravo will wear Indian Roll Ball helmets during the championship, showcasing the sport to a global audience.

“𝑻𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒊𝒔 𝒋𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒃𝒆𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒐𝒇 𝑹𝒐𝒍𝒍 𝑩𝒂𝒍𝒍’𝒔 𝒋𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒏𝒆𝒚 𝒕𝒐 𝒃𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝒂 𝒈𝒍𝒐𝒃𝒂𝒍 𝒔𝒆𝒏𝒔𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏,” 𝑺𝒂𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒏 𝑱𝒐𝒔𝒉𝒊 𝒂𝒅𝒅𝒆𝒅.
