Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) pacer Yash Dayal has been booked by Jaipur police over allegations of raping a minor, marking the second such complaint against him in recent weeks. The First Information Report (FIR) was filed on July 23 under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
Allegations Span Across Two States
The latest complaint was made by a 19-year-old aspiring cricketer who claims she first met Dayal two years ago. She told police that Dayal had promised to help her progress in her cricket career. According to the SHO, “The first incident (of rape) was in 2023, when she was 17. The most recent incident was in April 2025 in Jaipur.” The police are currently investigating the matter further.
This accusation follows another serious charge recently filed in Ghaziabad, where a woman accused Dayal of rape after a five-year relationship. The complaint, submitted via the Chief Minister’s online grievance portal on June 21, stated that Dayal had emotionally, mentally, and physically exploited her, repeatedly promising marriage but allegedly failing to follow through.
Legal Protection in Previous Case
In the Ghaziabad case, the Allahabad High Court granted Dayal interim protection from arrest. A division bench of Justices Siddhartha Varma and Anil Kumar issued the order, providing him temporary relief.
Meanwhile, the new Jaipur case adds further pressure on the 27-year-old cricketer. A police official noted,
“𝑭𝒖𝒓𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒅𝒆𝒕𝒂𝒊𝒍𝒔 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒃𝒆 𝒓𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒆𝒅 𝒂𝒇𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝒑𝒓𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒓𝒚 𝒊𝒏𝒗𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒈𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒊𝒔 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒍𝒆𝒕𝒆.”
Dayal, who was active during the IPL 2023 season when Jaipur hosted several matches, has yet to make an official statement on either case.
