Rajasthan Royals‘ young batting prodigy Vaibhav Suryavanshi continues to impress in IPL 2025, earning glowing praise from RR batting coach Vikram Rathour for his calm and impactful performances in crucial moments. After Suryavanshi scored a brilliant 57 off 33 balls against Chennai Super Kings at Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium, Rathour applauded the youngster’s maturity and growth.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi Shines Again with Match-Winning Knock

The 14-year-old entered the crease during a tough 188-run chase, with early movement in the pitch making scoring difficult. Despite limited strike during the powerplay, Suryavanshi displayed remarkable poise, smashing 4 sixes and 4 fours in his innings.
Rathour elaborated on the knock by saying:
“𝑰𝒏 𝒂 𝒉𝒊𝒈𝒉-𝒑𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝒈𝒂𝒎𝒆 𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔, 𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒉𝒆 𝒅𝒊𝒅𝒏’𝒕 𝒈𝒆𝒕 𝒎𝒖𝒄𝒉 𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒌𝒆 𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒍𝒚 𝒐𝒏 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒃𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒎𝒐𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈, 𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒕𝒆𝒎𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒐𝒅 𝒐𝒖𝒕. 𝑷𝒆𝒓𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆𝒔 𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒔𝒆 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒐𝒏𝒍𝒚 𝒉𝒆𝒍𝒑 𝒉𝒊𝒎 𝒃𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝒂 𝒃𝒆𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒚𝒆𝒓 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆.”
So far in the season, Suryavanshi has amassed 252 runs in 7 matches, but it was his explosive century (101 off 38 balls) against Gujarat Titans in Jaipur that made global headlines. That innings, which came off just 35 balls, made him the youngest centurion in men’s T20 history and the scorer of the second-fastest century in IPL.
In the match against CSK, Rajasthan Royals dominated the chase, thanks to a fiery start from Yashasvi Jaiswal (36) and a strong 98-run partnership between captain Sanju Samson and Vaibhav Suryavanshi. RR secured a convincing six-wicket win with 17 balls remaining, ending their season on a high note.
