UAE Squad Asia Cup 2025: Waseem Leads with Recall

The UAE have named their 17-member squad for the upcoming Asia Cup 2025, with Muhammad Waseem set to captain the side. The squad sees the return of right-arm pacer Matiullah Khan and left-arm spinner Simranjeet Singh, who join the team after missing out on recent games.

Experienced Players Return for Asia Cup

Matiullah, 32, has previously featured in one ODI and five T20Is, with his last appearance coming against Nigeria in the Pearl of Africa Series in July. Meanwhile, the 35-year-old Simranjeet has played five ODIs and 11 T20Is, most recently turning out for the UAE in the Gulf T20I Championship last December.
