Pakistan cricket team could not win a single match in Champions Trophy 2025.
After a long wait of 29 years, Pakistan got the hosting of the ICC event, but the performance of the Pakistan team in the tournament (Champions Trophy 2025) was very poor. The team was the first to be eliminated from the tournament after losing two consecutive matches. Then on Thursday, the match against Bangladesh was canceled without a single ball being bowled due to continuous rain. In Group A, the team finished last with two defeats in three matches, one point and -1.087 net run rate.
A shameful record was registered in the name of Pakistan
After being out of the Champions Trophy, Pakistan has registered another shameful record in its name. Since the tournament began in 2002, Pakistan has become the first team that could not win a single match as a host. This is the second time that Pakistan’s campaign has ended without a win. Earlier in 2013 in England, Pakistan’s team could not score a single point in the entire Champions Trophy.

Pakistan had to face a crushing defeat at the hands of New Zealand in the very first match of the tournament. New Zealand won that match by 60 runs. Babar Azam’s slow innings in this match was heavily criticized. After this, Pakistan’s next match was against India. India already seemed to have the upper hand and it was seen during the match as well. In the match played in Dubai, the Indian team won by 6 wickets.
Both Pakistan and Bangladesh were knocked out of the tournament after losing their first two group matches. However, due to the cancellation of the last match, both teams shared 1-1 points and ended their campaign in a disappointing manner.
