Star Indian batter Suryakumar Yadav has achieved yet another remarkable milestone in T20 international cricket, becoming only the second Indian player to smash 150 sixes in the format. He joined Indian skipper Rohit Sharma, who leads the chart with 205 sixes — the most by any batter in T20I history.
The milestone came during the first T20I between India and Australia at the Manuka Oval in Canberra, where Suryakumar, batting at No. 3, cleared the ropes twice within the first ten overs to reach the landmark. With this feat, he has now entered the top five list of batters with 150-plus sixes in the shortest format.

Suryakumar’s rapid rise in T20Is
The 35-year-old has already amassed over 2670 runs in 90 T20I matches, including four centuries, the second-most for India after Rohit Sharma (5). His ability to dominate bowlers with fearless stroke play has made him one of the most consistent performers in the format.

Suryakumar’s journey as India’s T20I captain has also been impressive. Since taking over full-time in 2024, he has led India to major victories — including the 2025 T20 Asia Cup triumph and series wins over England, South Africa, and Bangladesh.
Looking ahead, Suryakumar will aim to continue his red-hot form and guide India to defend their title at the 2026 T20 World Cup, set to be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka.
