Seifert Smashes Fastest CPL Hundred as Kings Cruise Past Falcons

Seifert Hundred Powers Kings to Record CPL 2025 Victory

Seifert’s Record-Breaking Knock

Tim Seifert delivered a sensational performance, smashing an unbeaten 125 off just 53 balls to power St Lucia Kings to a remarkable six-wicket victory over Antigua and Barbuda Falcons. His knock matched Andre Russell’s record for the fastest CPL century, helping the Kings chase down 205 runs in only 17.5 overs.

“𝑺𝒆𝒊𝒇𝒆𝒓𝒕’𝒔 𝒊𝒏𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒑𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝒄𝒂𝒓𝒏𝒂𝒈𝒆 – 𝒄𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒏 𝒉𝒊𝒕𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒕 𝒊𝒕𝒔 𝒂𝒃𝒔𝒐𝒍𝒖𝒕𝒆 𝒃𝒆𝒔𝒕,” 𝒔𝒂𝒊𝒅 𝒂 𝑪𝑷𝑳 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒐𝒓 𝒂𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑲𝒊𝒘𝒊 𝒃𝒂𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒐 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑭𝒂𝒍𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒔’ 𝒃𝒐𝒘𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒕𝒕𝒂𝒄𝒌.

The chase started explosively with Johnson Charles and Seifert targeting the bowlers early. Despite Charles’ dismissal, Seifert kept the momentum alive, hammering boundaries across the ground. The Kings plundered 92 runs in the powerplay, the third-highest in CPL history.

Falcons’ Bright Start and Collapse

Earlier, the Falcons posted 204 for 4, thanks to Shakib Al Hasan’s fiery 61 off 26 and Amir Jangoo’s steady 56. Fabian Allen added late fireworks with 38 off 17 balls. However, Tabraiz Shamsi’s crucial spell of 3 for 30 pegged them back during the middle overs.

Reflecting on his quickfire knock, Shakib said:

“𝑰 𝒘𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒌𝒆𝒆𝒑 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒄𝒐𝒓𝒆𝒃𝒐𝒂𝒓𝒅 𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒔𝒆 𝒃𝒂𝒄𝒌-𝒕𝒐-𝒃𝒂𝒄𝒌 𝒔𝒊𝒙𝒆𝒔 𝒈𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒖𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒑𝒖𝒔𝒉. 𝑩𝒖𝒕 𝒄𝒓𝒆𝒅𝒊𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝑺𝒆𝒊𝒇𝒆𝒓𝒕, 𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒍𝒆𝒕𝒆𝒍𝒚 𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒈𝒂𝒎𝒆.”

Despite the Falcons’ strong start, their bowlers had no answers for Seifert’s clean hitting. He reached his hundred with ease and sealed the game with a towering six, registering the highest score of CPL 2025 and the second-highest in the league’s history.
