Rohit Sharma

India’s ODI captain Rohit Sharma recently added a brand-new Lamborghini Urus SE to his luxury car collection. Finished in a striking Arancio Argos orange shade, the high-performance SUV has caught fans’ attention not only for its stunning design but also for its unique number plate: ‘3015’.

Rohit’s garage already boasts an impressive lineup of premium cars, including BMWs, Mercedes, and his previous blue Lamborghini Urus. This new Urus SE, priced around INR 4.57 crore (ex-showroom), marks his second Lamborghini. The upgraded model features enhanced styling, a plug-in hybrid engine delivering 800 hp and 950 Nm of torque, and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds.

From ‘264’ to ‘3015’: The Story Behind Rohit’s Number Plates

Earlier this year, Rohit gifted his old blue Lamborghini Urus, which bore the number plate ‘264’, to a Dream11 contest winner. That number held special significance as it represented his highest-ever ODI score of 264 runs, a world record against Sri Lanka in 2014.

This time, Rohit has chosen the number ‘3015’ as a heartfelt tribute to his children. The digits correspond to the birthdays of his daughter Samaira, born on December 30 (30), and son Ahaan, born on November 15 (15). Interestingly, adding these two numbers gives 45 — Rohit’s jersey number for India.

Rohit’s Cricket Journey and Future Plans

At 38, Rohit continues to lead the Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2025 season and remains an integral part of India’s ODI squad. Having retired from Test and T20 formats, he is now focused on the 2027 ICC Cricket World Cup.

However, reports suggest the Indian team management is considering introducing younger talents soon, potentially paving the way for veterans like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli to step aside from ODI duties after the upcoming Australia tour in October.
