Afghanistan’s star leg-spinner Rashid Khan has reclaimed the top position in the ICC Men’s ODI Bowling Rankings, following his brilliant performance in the 3-0 series win over Bangladesh in Abu Dhabi.

Rashid picked up 11 wickets in three matches, including a stunning five-wicket haul in the second ODI, propelling him five spots up to No. 1 with 710 rating points — 30 ahead of South Africa’s Keshav Maharaj, who sits second.

Seamer Azmatullah Omarzai also made a big move, climbing 19 places to a career-best 21st after a strong outing with seven wickets. Among Bangladeshi bowlers, Mehidy Hasan Miraz (up to 24th) and Tanzim Hasan Sakib (up to 67th) also registered notable gains.
Ibrahim Zadran Creates History for Afghanistan Batting
In the batting charts, Ibrahim Zadran has achieved a historic milestone for Afghanistan, jumping eight places to reach a career-best second position. He accumulated 213 runs in the series, earning the Player of the Series award.
With this rise, Zadran has attained the highest-ever ODI batting rating for an Afghanistan player (687 points), surpassing Rahmanullah Gurbaz’s 686 set last year.

Rahmanullah Gurbaz also rose to 16th, while Bangladesh’s Towhid Hridoy (42nd) and Mohammad Nabi (50th) improved their standings after consistent performances.
Kuldeep Yadav Climbs to Career-Best Test Ranking
In the Test rankings, India’s Kuldeep Yadav achieved a career-best 14th position after taking eight wickets in the second Test against the West Indies in New Delhi. The Indian spinner continues to rise in red-ball cricket, solidifying his reputation as a reliable strike bowler.
Among other movers, Jomel Warrican (30th) and Roston Chase (57th) also saw improvements following strong performances for the West Indies.
On the batting front, Yashasvi Jaiswal jumped two spots to fifth after his majestic 175-run knock, while KL Rahul’s contributions (38 and 58*) helped him move up to 33rd. For the West Indies, Shai Hope (66th) and John Campbell (68th) were the biggest gainers after their centuries in the final innings.
