The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a significant 50% hike in the monthly retainers for its women cricketers under the new central contracts, effective from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026. This raise applies across all five contract categories, from A to E, as the women’s team prepares for a busy cricket calendar, including two major ICC tournaments alongside several bilateral series.

The new contracts were finalised under the supervision of head coach Mohammad Wasim and the women’s selection panel, aiming to provide greater financial support to the players and enhance the team’s competitiveness.

Key Promotions and New Inclusions in Central Contracts

Among the notable changes, Sadia Iqbal, currently ranked No.1 in the ICC Women’s T20I bowling rankings, has been promoted to Category A, joining top performers Fatima Sana, Muneeba Ali, and Sidra Amin. Aliya Riaz made a comeback into Category B after missing out previously, while Diana Baig and Nashra Sundhu moved up from Category C to B. Rameen Shamim remains the sole player in Category C.

Category D saw new additions such as Natalia Parvaiz, Sidra Nawaz, and Waheeda Akhtar, while the PCB introduced a fresh Category E to accommodate emerging talents like Eyman Fatima, who is yet to debut for the senior team, and Shawaal Zulfiqar, who has appeared in three ODIs and seven T20Is.
