Brazilian superstar Neymar has had a challenging year with fitness issues. Despite a persistent knee problem, he recently scored a crucial goal to help Santos remain in Brazil’s top-flight league. Now, as he battles to secure a spot in Brazil’s World Cup squad, Santos has decided to undergo knee treatment from the famed ‘Doctor Miracle’.

The Man Behind the Miracle

According to ESPN, Neymar will be treated by Eduardo Santos, a celebrated Brazilian physiotherapist widely known as ‘Doctor Miracle’. Santos earned this nickname for delivering extraordinary recoveries, often surpassing conventional treatment methods. One of his most notable successes was with Brazilian defender David Luiz in 2015. “David was expected to be out for 8-10 weeks, but after my treatment, he was back on the field within 10 days,” Santos revealed.

Santos has an impressive resume. He graduated from the Pontifical Catholic University of Belo Horizonte and holds both a master’s and a doctorate in sports medicine. He has headed the medical department at Chinese Super League side Shanghai SIPG and has worked with Dutch club Vitesse and Russian giants Zenit.

Neymar’s Road to the World Cup

Neymar has been in remarkable form recently, netting five goals and providing one assist in just four Brazilian Serie A matches. His stellar performance ensured Santos avoided relegation. However, his knee injury remains a concern. To meet Brazil coach Carlo Ancelotti’s fitness requirements for the World Cup, Santos is relying on Santos’ expertise.

Santos has also treated high-profile players such as Hulk, Oscar, Philippe Coutinho, and, recently, Manchester United stars Matheus Cunha and Vandersohn. “I am ready to help Neymar achieve his dream of playing in the World Cup,” Santos said confidently.

With the treatment underway, all eyes will be on Neymar’s recovery and his potential appearance in Qatar.
