Nepal and West Indies are all set to create history in September when they clash in their first-ever bilateral T20I series. The three-match series will take place in Sharjah on September 27, 28, and 30, with Nepal designated as the official host despite the neutral venue.
According to a press release from Cricket West Indies (CWI), the series marks a crucial step in the ongoing effort to expand the reach of cricket globally. Describing the occasion as a “historic milestone,” CWI emphasized the importance of supporting the sport’s growth across emerging nations.

The matches are strategically scheduled ahead of Nepal’s participation in the T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier, offering vital match experience against a top-ranked side. West Indies, currently fifth in the T20I rankings and two-time World Cup winners, are expected to send a competitive squad for the series. Nepal sits 18th in the format rankings.
The series also reflects the Caribbean side’s commitment to fostering global cricket development.
