Former India cricketer and commentator Navjot Singh Sidhu celebrated his 62nd birthday on Monday, October 20, with warm wishes pouring in from across the cricketing fraternity. Among those who extended greetings was Irfan Pathan, who shared a special message on social media that drew an affectionate reply from Sidhu.
Pathan posted on X (formerly Twitter):

Navjot, known for his poetic style and larger-than-life personality, responded warmly, acknowledging both Pathan’s talent and his character.

Pathan then ended the conversation on a heartfelt note, saying,

Navjot Sidhu and Pathan: From the Field to the Commentary Box
Over the years, both Navjot and Pathan have transitioned seamlessly from their cricketing careers to becoming popular voices in the commentary box. Despite facing occasional criticism and controversies, the duo continues to charm fans with their insightful analysis and humorous banter.
Sidhu represented India in 51 Tests and 156 ODIs between 1983 and 1999, amassing 3202 Test runs and 4413 ODI runs. Meanwhile, Irfan Pathan, who donned the Indian jersey in 29 Tests, 120 ODIs, and 24 T20Is, contributed 2821 runs and claimed 301 wickets across formats.
Though they played in different eras, their chemistry and camaraderie have flourished during their time together as commentators in the Indian Premier League and international cricket broadcasts.
