Sobias is suffering from a hamstring injury. Sports website ESPN reported, citing sources, that the 28-year-old Spanish midfielder could be out for two months.
Sobayos was injured in the first leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final against Real Sociedad. He played the entire match. However, he was seen suffering from some discomfort when he left the field. He was walking with a limp. He was tested after the match. Real Madrid said that he had injured his left foot.
He has been an important member of Real this season. He has played 20 matches in all competitions. Sobayos has been a regular member of the team’s starting eleven in recent times. But towards the end of the season, Ancelotti has not been able to get him.
Real Madrid will play their next match on Saturday, against Real Betis in La Liga, before facing Atletico Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie at the Santiago Bernabeu.
