Scottie Scheffler, who set a course record with a 62 in the second round, followed it up with a 69. He now sits at 12 under, alongside Ryan Fox (65) and Ryan Gerard (68).
“Yesterday, I made a lot of putts, but today, nothing seemed to drop,” Scheffler said. “I’ll try to go as low as possible again tomorrow.”
Rory McIlroy from Northern Ireland shot a 65, which included three birdies and an eagle, bringing him to nine under par.
“I played okay,” McIlroy said. “It wasn’t my best, but it was a solid round. Hopefully, I can do even better tomorrow.”
