Real Betis Féminas have unveiled ambitious plans to upgrade their home ground, bringing a major boost to the women’s team’s infrastructure and fan experience. The club’s board confirmed that the renovation project — tailored specifically for the women’s side — will modernise facilities, increase capacity, and provide a dedicated football environment ahead of the 2026 season.
Transforming the Home Ground for Women’s Football
The planned upgrades to Estadio Benito Villamarín’s adjacent training ground will include improved changing rooms, enhanced media facilities, and expanded seating for supporters. The project also incorporates new pitch enhancements designed to meet the highest standards for player performance and safety.
Club President Ángel Haro said the investment reflects a long-term vision for women’s football.
“This stadium upgrade is not just about infrastructure — it’s about equality of opportunity, pride, and supporting our women’s team at the highest level,” Haro said at the press conference announcing the plans.
Supporters and players reacted enthusiastically, with Betis captain María López describing the renovations as a “gamechanger” for the club’s future.
Boosting Visibility and Fan Engagement
Beyond physical improvements, the stadium upgrade is expected to significantly boost fan engagement. Enhanced fan zones, improved accessibility, and family-friendly matchday experiences will be key focuses as the club seeks increased attendance and community involvement.
Real Betis Féminas have seen steady growth in fan support over recent seasons, and this move further highlights La Liga clubs’ growing commitment to elevating the women’s game.
As construction timelines are finalised, the club aims to complete the primary upgrades well before the start of the 2026 campaign — ensuring the women’s squad can enter the new era with renewed energy and facilities deserving of their rising status.
