Freshly-appointed power-hitting coach Julian Wood has brought innovative training equipment — the ProVelocity Bat — to help sharpen the power-hitting abilities of Bangladesh’s men’s and women’s cricketers. The unique rod-like bat, already creating buzz on social media, focuses on enhancing hand-eye coordination, sequencing, and swing mechanics.
How the ProVelocity Bat Works
Julian Wood, The ProVelocity Bat is designed to test and refine a batter’s swing. If used correctly, the bat produces a double click sound, signaling that the player has executed proper swing mechanics and generated enough bat speed to overcome resistance. This, in turn, allows the barrel to travel smoothly to the end of the bat.

A New Dimension in Range-Hitting
Bangladesh women’s batting coach Nasiruddin Faruque praised the new concept, of Julian Wood believing it could prove beneficial for players aiming to improve their hitting range.
