Jude Bellingham marked a major career milestone on Tuesday night, making his 50th Champions League appearance and surpassing Real Madrid legend Iker Casillas as the youngest player to reach this landmark.
Jude Bellingham’s Journey to 50 Champions League Appearances

The England international debuted in the Champions League at just 17 years old with Borussia Dortmund in October 2020, quickly establishing himself as one of Europe’s brightest young talents. Over 50 appearances, Bellingham has contributed 14 goals and 13 assists and played a pivotal role in helping Real Madrid secure their record-extending 15th Champions League title in the 2023–24 season, his first campaign with the club.
However, Jude Bellingham’s landmark night was overshadowed by Real Madrid’s 1–0 defeat at Anfield. Liverpool’s midfield effectively neutralized Bellingham, limiting his attacking influence and forcing him to spend much of the match tracking back defensively.
Despite the setback, the 22-year-old has solidified his reputation as one of the world’s top midfielders, achieving a remarkable level of performance before even turning 23.

Jude Bellingham’s personal form also suffered at Anfield, ending a three-game goalscoring streak—the best run he’s had in 2025. In his previous three matches, he had been in sensational form: scoring the lone goal in Real Madrid’s Champions League win over Juventus, netting the winner in El Clásico against Barcelona, and adding a stunning goal in a 4–0 victory over Valencia.
With the international break approaching, Jude Bellingham and Real Madrid will look to bounce back when they face city rivals Rayo Vallecano on Sunday, hoping to regain the rhythm that has made them one of Europe’s most dangerous teams.
