The 61st match of IPL 2025 was played between Lucknow Super Giants and Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow, where SRH won by 6 wickets and dashed Lucknow’s hopes of reaching the playoffs. The turning point of the match was the partnership of Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan while chasing the target, due to which SRH won.

In fact, Hyderabad, chasing the target of 206 runs, suffered a setback in the form of Atharva Tayde in the second over itself. However, after this, Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan played cautiously and took the team’s score beyond 50 in the powerplay. Both the batsmen made an important partnership for the second wicket and laid the foundation for Hyderabad’s victory. This partnership of both proved to be the turning point of the match.

Talking about the match, Lucknow Super Giants batted first and scored a huge score of 205 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs. Opener Mitchell Marsh played an innings of 65 runs in 39 balls, which included 6 fours and 4 sixes. At the same time, Aiden Markram scored 61 runs in 38 balls with the help of 4 fours and 4 sixes.

Apart from this, Nicholas Pooran also played a quick innings of 45 runs in 26 balls. Captain Rishabh Pant once again flopped and got out after scoring just 7 runs. Ishan Malinga took the maximum of 2 wickets from Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Hyderabad chased down the target in the 19th over with 6 wickets in hand, thanks to knocks by Abhishek Sharma (59) and Heinrich Klaasen (47). After the early dismissal of opener Atharva Tayade (13), Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan steadied the innings and shared an 82-run partnership for the second wicket.

Ishan Kishan scored 35 runs before getting out. After this Klaasen and Kamindu Mendis (32) played useful innings. Digvesh Rathi took the maximum of 2 wickets from Lucknow.
