After the announcement of ceasefire, the situation between the two countries became a little normal and the tournament started again from 17 May. The remaining league matches of the ongoing season are being played in Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Lucknow and Ahmedabad.

According to the new schedule, Qualifier-1 will be held on 29 May, Eliminator on 30 May and Qualifier-2 on 1 June. While the final is to be held on 3 June. Meanwhile, a big update has come out regarding the venue of the playoff matches.

IPL 2025 final will be played in Ahmedabad

According to a report, a BCCI meeting was held on Tuesday in which it was decided that the IPL 2025 final will be held in Ahmedabad. However, the first two matches of the playoffs (Eliminator and Qualifier 1) will be played in Mullanpur, New Chandigarh, while Qualifier-2 and the final match will also be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Qualifier-1: May 29 – Mullanpur, New Chandigarh

Eliminator May 30 – Mullanpur, New Chandigarh

Qualifier 2: June 1 – Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad

Final June 3 – Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad

Let us tell you, two IPL finals have been played so far at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. In the final played between Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals in the 2022 season, GT won by 7 wickets. At the same time, in the final of the 2023 season which was played between Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings, CSK won by 5 wickets.

Gujarat Titans, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Punjab Kings have confirmed their place in the playoffs. The battle between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals is going on for the last spot in the top-4. Currently, MI is in fourth place in the points table with 7 wins in 12 matches and 14 points. While DC is in fifth place with 13 points. Both the teams are going to face each other on 21 May at the Wankhede Stadium.
